Travel Poster Centenary London Underground Metropolitan Line. Original vintage London Transport travel poster commemorating the centenary of the underground from 1863-1963, featuring an image of what the Metropolitan line, the first underground railway looked like in 1863, depicting elegantly dressed ladies and gentlemen waiting for the train at the Baker Street platform from a lithograph by Samuel J Hudson, and illustrations of notes pinned to a green notice board advertising the London Transport's Neasden Depot's historic and modern rolling stock, new books, posters and cinema depicting the history of the Underground. Printed by The Baynard Press. Good condition, creasing, tears, minor staining. Country of issue: UK, designer: Peter Roberson, size (cm): 102x63, year of printing: 1963.
